Say who it's for in the same number the ad used
If an ad qualifies its audience with a number, the page should repeat that number, and the form should start there too. Mixed numbers send the wrong people through.
- When to use it
- Ads and page describe the audience with different thresholds, or the form invites people the ad excluded.
- The idea behind it
- The right visitors book because the page confirms they fit. The rest self-select out before they take a sales slot.
- How to set it up
- 1) Note the qualifier the ads use: list size, team size, revenue.
- 2) Compare it with the page heading and the first form option.
- 3) Make version B that uses the ad's number in both places.
- 4) Count qualified bookings, not raw form submissions.
- How long it takes
- About 400 conversions per version to see a 20% change. Check yours with the sample size calculator.
