AI Website Analytics Tools (2026): AI in the Dashboard vs. Your AI Reading the Data
The best AI analytics tools for a website, sorted into two kinds: tools with AI built into the dashboard (GA4, Microsoft Clarity, Amplitude, PostHog) and tools your own AI assistant can read and act on (Humblytics and MCP servers). Checked 3 November 2026.

The short answer: AI website analytics comes in two kinds. AI in the dashboard: the tool has AI built in, like Google Analytics 4's automated insights or Microsoft Clarity's Copilot summaries. Your AI reading the data: your own assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor) connects to the analytics over MCP and answers your questions. For a free start, use GA4 + Microsoft Clarity. If you want your agent to set up tracking, read ad spend and sales, and draft A/B tests, use Humblytics. For a software product, Amplitude or PostHog. Checked on 3 November 2026.
Search "AI analytics" and you mostly get business intelligence tools for data teams. If you run a website, the question is simpler: which tool tells me what is working, in plain words?
The two kinds
| AI in the dashboard | Your AI reading the data | |
|---|---|---|
| Where you ask | Inside the analytics app | In Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor |
| What the AI knows | Only that tool's data | That tool plus anything else your agent is connected to |
| Can it act? | Usually suggests | Can draft tests or changes, if the tool allows |
| Examples | GA4 insights, Clarity Copilot, Amplitude AI | Humblytics, plus PostHog, Mixpanel, Amplitude and GA4 over MCP |
Many tools now do both. The question is which one you will actually use every day.
The tools
Google Analytics 4: free, with automated insights
GA4 is free and flags unusual changes in your traffic for you. It ties in closely with Google Ads. Google also has an official, read-only GA MCP server that runs on your computer, so Claude can read your reports. Setup takes Python and a Google Cloud project: see our guide to the Google Analytics MCP server.
Pick it if you want a free standard and run Google Ads.
Microsoft Clarity: free heatmaps with AI summaries
Free heatmaps and session recordings. Copilot summarizes recordings and heatmaps so you see the pattern without watching every session (clarity.microsoft.com/copilot). Microsoft also documents a Clarity MCP server you run on your computer.
Pick it if you want to see why visitors leave, for free.
Amplitude: product analytics with AI
Funnels, retention and cohorts for software products, with AI features and an official MCP server (amplitude.com/docs/amplitude-ai).
Pick it if you run a software product with a data or product team.
PostHog: all-in-one for engineers
Product analytics, session replay, feature flags and experiments, with an official hosted MCP server (posthog.com/docs/model-context-protocol).
Pick it if engineers own your analytics.
Humblytics: analytics your AI agent runs
Website analytics, ad tracking and A/B testing for your AI agent.
- Your agent signs you up and installs the script: paste Read https://app.humblytics.com/agent.md and sign me up for Humblytics as [email protected] into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor.
- It reads visits, funnels, heatmaps, Meta and Google Ads spend and Stripe or Foxy revenue over the hosted MCP server (
mcp.humblytics.com/v1). The Claude and ChatGPT chat apps use the Humblytics connector. - Ask "which page lost the most sales this week?" and it answers from your real data, then drafts an A/B test for you to approve.
- First 25,000 data points and 1 site free, no card. Then $39 once for 100,000 data points, or $79 and $279 a month for teams.
- No session replay. Ad spend from Meta and Google Ads only.
Not sure what your page needs? Run the free page audit on the homepage.
