Engagement rate measures how actively your audience interacts with your content relative to your audience size. It includes likes, comments, shares, saves, and other interactions. Formula: Engagement Rate = (Total Engagements ÷ Followers) × 100.

Average engagement rates vary by platform: Instagram 1-3%, TikTok 3-6%, YouTube 2-5%, Facebook 0.1-0.5%, LinkedIn 0.5-2%, Twitter/X 0.02-0.5%. Smaller accounts typically see higher engagement rates due to more concentrated audiences.

Engagement rate by followers vs by reach?
